| Description: |
The Barque Picton Castle—a sail training ship based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, but best known for her voyages around the world—has cast off again to sail in the warm trade winds. Join us and fulfill your dreams of tall ship sailing! Recently, the American Sail Training Association (ASTA) named us its Sail Training Program of the Year. It's an honor we're really thrilled about as it represents 10 years of hard work and great times introducing some 600 people to the rewards of square-rigged sailing during four voyages around the world, two trips to the Great Lakes and other jaunts up and down the Atlantic Coast. This winter, we're in the Caribbean, visiting some of the finest islands in the world and enjoying some of the best sailing. In May, we'll head north to join a fleet of traditional sailing ships assembling at Charleston as part of this summer's Tall Ships Challenge, then we'll sail up the coast in company to events at Norfolk, Newport and Halifax, to be followed by a voyage around Maritime Canada in August. There's sure to be some excellent sailing and the most outstanding camaraderie you'll ever experience. No previous sailing experience is necessary. Sign aboard today!
